On the afternoon of February 13, 2023, sponsored by the Jilin Foreign Affairs Office and the Exchange Promotion course of Birdaway County, Changchun Foreign Language School, and Yanmei High School successfully concluded the online exchange activities between Jilin Province of China and Tottori County of Japan. To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Sino-Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship, the two schools met online to talk about their hometown and friendship. Wang Hao, principal of CFLS, Zhang Yanling, director of the academic Affairs Office, Shao Yang, director of the school office, Wang Zhongshan, deputy director of the International Department, Wang Wei, deputy director of the comprehensive language teaching and research office, and all Japanese teachers participated in the activity.

At the beginning of the activity, Director Mishan Zhenshoumei, Director of the Bird take County Exchange Promotion course, Wang Yilong, Director of the Asia Office of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Principal Xiaoyan of Yanmei High School, and Principal Wang Hao of CFLS respectively delivered speeches to express their support for this exchange activity. Among them, Principal Wang Hao stressed that in personnel training in the new period, CFLS attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation, creates more opportunities for students' diversified development, and promotes the development of friendly exchanges between China and Japan. It is hoped that through this exchange activity, the students of the two schools can establish friendships and make common progress.

The students of Yanmei University first launched a unique introduction to their hometown and school, showing the unique scenery of Tottori Prefecture and Iwamichi, as well as the school's activities and students' daily life. An interactive session of interesting questions and answers is set up at the end of the introduction. The atmosphere is relaxed and natural, and the students seem to be led to the Qingshui River Bay to place themselves in the youthful campus life. The students also deeply felt the beauty of similarities and differences between Chinese and Japanese cultures and deepened their understanding of language learning.

The senior three students of our school introduced the food, folk customs, and culture of their hometown in fluent Japanese, and showed the scenic spot of Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province. After that, the students talked about the youthful and colorful activities held on CFLS, showing the characteristic culture of our school. Finally, the students introduced the traditional Chinese festivals and customs to the Japanese students.

After the students of the two schools were introduced and got to know each other, the students of our school first asked questions, and the two sides launched a unique cross-border conversation, gained a deeper understanding of each other's study and life, and established a sincere friendship. The distance of online communication across time and space is connected with different backgrounds so that the humanistic thoughts and feelings condensed in the past countless years shine into each other's hearts and give them infinite warmth and strength. Japanese students experienced a feast of Chinese culture and felt the breadth and depth of Chinese culture. At the same time, Chinese students also benefited greatly. While their language ability was improved, their thinking became more mature and their horizons broadened. After the friendly exchange, the teachers' representatives of both sides made a summary. Wang Wei, the Japanese teacher at our school, expressed her congratulations and thanks for the success of the event. The two sides took a group photo and retained this precious transnational affection.
