CFLS | Congrats！Harvest your achievement in Russian International Literature Competition

　　The students of our school won another honor in the Russian International Literature Competition "Polar Star-Polar Bear" hosted by Krasnoyarsk, Russia.

　　After the students of our school achieved excellent results in this competition in 2021, the students performed well and made great achievements in the 2022 competition. Yu Dongjun from Class 3 and Class 2 of junior high school won the special prize, Zhao Ziqi of Class 2 and 10 of Senior High School won the second prize, Ji Ye of Class 2 and 10 of Senior High School, two students of Zhang Xichen won the third prize, and 38 students from Class 2 and Class 2 of junior high school Yang Chenhe won the Excellence Award. The school congratulates the above students and their instructors Zhang Yanhua, Chen Chen, Chi Chao, and Shi Wen. The excellent performance of the students has been highly praised by the Russian event organizers, the Changchun Foreign Affairs Office, and the leading teachers of CFLS.

　　The award ceremony of the "Polar Star-Polar Bear" Russian International Literature Competition was held at 2:00 p.m. at Changchun Foreign Affairs Office. Vice Principal Yang Zhongshan of CFLS, Director Zhang Yanling of the academic Affairs Office, Zhang Yanhua and Chen Chen, representatives of award-winning teachers, and student representatives Yu Dongjun, Zhao Ziqi, Ji Ye, Zhang Xichen, and Yang Chenhe attended the award ceremony.

　　The award ceremony was presided over by Zhao Huanying, director of the European and African Department of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and Duan Huaxu, deputy director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, who delivered a speech. Director Duan congratulated the CFLS award-winning teachers and students and thanked CFLS for his strong support for the work of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office over the years. At the same time, he thanked the teachers for actively organizing students to participate in the competition and achieving good results in the competition. As an outstanding graduate of CFLS, Deputy Director Duan Huaxu said that he was particularly proud to meet the leaders of his alma mater, award-winning teachers, and students, and present awards to them today. Over the years, the alma mater is proud that the country has trained excellent foreign language talents from all over the world, and encourages today's award-winning students to work harder to learn Russian well so that the great cause of friendship between China and Russia can be passed on from generation to generation.

　　Vice Principal Yang Zhongshan introduced that under the leadership of Principal Wang Hao, CFLS has greatly improved education and teaching while maintaining the advantages and characteristics of foreign language teaching, and achieved remarkable results in the first and second models of senior high school in the city. Zhang Xinyu, Fu Xuanang, and other students were admitted to Peking University, Tsinghua University, and other well-known key universities. Zhao welcomed the Director's full affirmation of the student's achievements and high hopes for their future, hoping that they would strive to become excellent disseminators of Chinese traditional culture.

　　The Polar Star-Polar Bear Russian International Literature Competition is supported by the Education Bureau of Krasnoyarsk, Russia, and funded by the Siberian Federal University Ecological Foundation. The purpose of the activity is to carry out literary creation with the theme of the polar bear, an endangered animal in the Arctic, to show young people's views on nature and cultural values, and to arouse the international community's attention and protection of endangered species in the Arctic. The competition requires literary works to be written in Russian, and the contestants must be no more than 18 years old. Under the careful guidance of the Russian teachers in our school, 42 high-quality original Russian literary works have been completed. The  students in our school actively participated and made great achievements, showing the excellent study style and international vision, highlighting the "foreign language characteristics" teaching style of our school, and strengthening the literary exchanges between Chinese and Russian young people. It has made contributions to promoting local cultural cooperation between China and Russia.
