Bid Farewell to 2019 and Welcome 2020 With Open Arms!-Principal's New Year Address 2020

　　New Year is coming. At this happy moment of renewal, I would like to extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to our diligent faculty members and the staff, to our students who are pursuing their dreams, to retired veterans who have contributed to the development of the school, and to friends from all walks of life who care about supporting the school's reform and development, and alumni at home and abroad.

　　Standing at the coordinates of the replacement of the old and the new, looking back on 2019, it is the 70th birthday of the motherland. All members in Changchun Foreign Languages School (CFLS) pay tribute to the motherland with practical actions--adhere to the original intention of education, advance with the times, work hard, take morality as the basis of nurturing, consolidate powerful forces, and then compose a new chapter in "cultivating Chinese talents with international competitive capabilities".

　　This year, CFLS thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. Our school takes morality and nurturing as the root, grasps the development direction, promotes development with reform, gathers people's hearts with development, continuously integrates positive energy, and strives to open up a new situation of school reform and development in the new era.

　　This year, we reviewed the history of reforms, summarized development experiences, and further strengthened school governance. We focused on development goals, refined reforms, and promoted reforms to motivate new vitality in talent training, faculty building, and cadre contingent building.

　　This year, we strengthened teaching and comprehensively improved the quality of education and teaching. We promoted dynamic classroom teaching with lively teacher-student interaction, letting their communication wipe out the impetuous anxiety of education, thereby realizing the multi-dimensional development of teachers, students, and schools.

　　Our school strives for progress in stability, and seeks new scientific-level management systems and operating mechanisms in practice to promote the improvement of education quality to a new level.

　　This year, we strengthened the establishment of a communication platform and jointly cultivated talents. Our university has established close cooperative relations with universities at home and abroad, and the road of internationalization has become wider and wider, effectively establishing a diverse development channel for our students.

　　Thousands of sails compete, and hundreds of races compete. 2020 will be the year when China will build a well-off society in an all-round way. It will also be the final year of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan". It will also be the year when we will achieve our first century-long goal, the first year of the second century goal.

　　At this important historical moment, it is even more necessary for us all to be united. Instead of doing nothing because of hardships, but overcome difficulties with lofty ambitions, integrate the school's dream into the development of local and regional society, and widely cultivate outstanding talents.

　　The blueprint is always ahead. Time and tide wait for no man. The burden is on the shoulders and motivating. Winter is the boundary of the cycle and also the beginning of a new round of growth. Facing higher goals and requirements, and new opportunities and challenges, we must consolidate the wisdom and diligence of the entire school. The personal dream, the dream of youth, and the tireless pursuit of first-class education are integrated into the great era, and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has become a reality in the continuous struggle of young generations.
