CFLS students achieved excellent results in the 2021 China-Russia Children's Creativity Festival

　　China and Russia are two big countries that depend on each other as neighbors. The Chinese and Russian people have a long tradition of friendship and a long history of cultural exchanges. Cultural mutual recognition allows us to have a common understanding and mutual trust on many issues. Cultural exchanges can eliminate misunderstandings between different cultures and are important bridges and bonds for people of all countries to enhance mutual understanding and friendship. Humanistic exchanges and cooperation are not only an important part of Sino-Russian bilateral relations, but also a long-term driving force to expand and deepen exchanges in other fields.

　　Deepening cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia is conducive to the long-term development of relations between the two countries and the friendship between the two peoples from generation to generation, and brings tangible benefits to the social and economic development of the two countries. Especially since 2006, China and Russia have successively held large-scale national events under the exchange of visits between the two heads of state and prime ministers, such as the "National Year", "Language Year", "Tourism Year", "Youth Friendly Exchange Year", and "Media Year". Continuously, it has more effectively promoted the friendly exchanges between the two peoples and promoted practical cooperation between the two sides in various fields. Chinese Ambassador to Russia Li Hui said in an exclusive interview with a reporter from Xinhua News Agency that Sino-Russian relations have become the most stable, healthy and mature model of national relations in the world today. The exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the cultural field are indispensable. The concept of "friendship from generation to generation" is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

　　2021 is the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Sino-Russian Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation. In order to deepen the exchanges between Chinese and Russian youths and promote the friendship between the two countries from generation to generation, with the support of the Ministry of Education of China and the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Russian Ivanovo International Children's Home co-hosted the "2021 Sino-Russian Children's Creative Festival" event.

　　With the theme of "Imagine 2049-One Hundred Years of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Russia", the event collected paintings, photography and other works from primary and secondary school students in China and Russia. After the launch of the event, more than 13,000 works by young people across the country have been received. Relevant experts were invited to set up a judging committee. Based on the principle of fairness and justice, 315 gold medal works, 685 silver medal works, and several outstanding works were selected after preliminary review, second review, and final review.

　　This event showcased the spiritual outlook of the Chinese youth generation. Paintings full of the national customs of China and Russia vividly presented the customs of the two countries, showcased the demeanor of young people, and promoted international exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Russian youths. The event will provide young people with an international stage to broaden their horizons, realize their dreams, and showcase their charm, allowing Chinese young people to experience Russia's strong artistic atmosphere at close range, enhance their international vision, showcase their style, and promote Chinese culture.
